The studio used 7,600 paper cutouts. They carefully constructed every turret, gear, and parapet in the Red Keep. They then surrounded it with the homes of the city. How did they make it move like the show's opening? Through careful stop-motion animation. They turned the gears and lowered towers frame-by-frame.
